Mandatory Face Mask communications toolkit

Restrictions have changed for the Greater Sydney region, including the Central Coast, Wollongong and Blue Mountains. These include:

  • observing changes to the numbers of people who may attend weddings and funerals, places of worship, outdoor performances and events, or attend protests or gym classes.
  • not using premises as a nightclub.
  • wearing a mask in a range of indoor retail and business premises as well as on public transport.

Children aged under 12 are exempt from mandatory mask wearing and other exemptions are also in place.

Please see details of these changes at www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rules/greater-sydney

The southern zone of Sydney’s Northern Beaches is now considered part of the Greater Sydney region. For the northern zone of the Northern Beaches, stay at home rules apply – visit www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rules/northern-beaches for more information.

There have been no changes for regional NSW.
