About You
RFDS WA is looking for a motivated person who is passionate about making a positive difference in their community. You’ll be experienced enough to initially lead the setup of the clinic and oversee all aspects of running the clinic to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, administrative and business operations, and support in the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

The role is a permanent full-time position, based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Our preference is for the successful candidate to reside in Kalgoorlie or be willing to relocate.

About the Role
· Support the design, development, and implementation of the new business covering all aspects of a general practice.
· Understanding of consumer co-design in the delivery of excellence to develop initiatives that enhance both patient experience and health outcomes.
· Oversee and manage the day-to-day practice operations ensuring a high level of customer service and front desk administration.
· Identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to generate new leads and expand referral base, whilst meeting the needs of the community.
· Be part of and contribute to a team environment, maintaining positive working relationships with all practice employees.
· Provide training, supervision and support to the administration team.
· Other practice management duties such as recruitment and onboarding of new employees, regular employee training and meetings, coordinate employee employment, rosters and leave cover.
· Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular reporting.
· Prior experience working as practice manager, will be highly advantageous.

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.

In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA’s most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
