Hunters Hill Dermatology was established in 2020 as a modern purpose-built specialist medical practice located at Hunters Hill, on the beautiful lower North Shore of Sydney. We envision respectfully treating patients with skin disease from all walks of life with the latest, most effective treatment options to improve their quality of life.

Our dermatologists offer patients expert diagnosis and management of all medical and surgical conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. Dr Phan (drtaiphan.com.au) also performs Mohs micrographic surgery, a specialised form of surgery used to treat facial skin. We also use laser to treat photodamage, pigmentation, redness and scars.

With the recent growth in our practice, we have a new opportunity for a Practice/Business Manager to join our friendly team of four specialist dermatologists and staff to move the business forward.

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and experienced Practice Manager/Business Manager, ideally with previous Dermatology and/or specialist surgical practice experience, to manage the day-to-day operations of a busy dermatology practice. This role requires having exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and a commitment to excellence. This is for a full-time (38 hours per week) position to start in March-April 2024.

Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Establish and maintain business relationships with referral sources
· Expand relationships with patients, referrers and other stakeholders to grow the practice
· Efficient structuring of doctor's appointment books, issuing of staff rosters, fostering team culture and work ethic
· Manage all aspects of surgical quotations, payments (Eclipse) and follow-up for Mohs surgery
· Help and cover for reception staff whenever required
· Troubleshoot and provide assistance to doctors and staff regarding any error during usage of Genie practice management software
· Manage staff payroll and ensuring that doctors receipts/refunds are reconciled and accurate
· Monitor patient satisfaction and online reviews
· Write and maintain practice protocols for staff, ensuring performance is consistently up to or exceeding practice protocol standards
· Conduct and manage performance appraisals for all staff
· Develop deep understanding of the skills needed in nursing, assisting, sterilisation, transcription and reception duties required to manage   performance, rosters and leave
· Screen, hire and train new staff as required by the practice
· Schedule and source quotes for regular maintenance of information technology, software updates, phone services, medical equipment in the practice
· Manage ordering and competitive pricing for office and medical consumables
· Run, reconcile, analyse and report on monthly financials
· Other duties as required by the principal dermatologist

The successful applicant will have the following experience/attributes:
· Highly professional and clear articulate manner
· Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain rapport and relationships
· Possess or keen to learn in depth about all aspects of Genie Practice Management software
· Demonstrate an ability to write, implement and maintain policies and procedures
· Strong planning and time management skills and the ability to identify and achieve work objectives within an often fast-paced environment
· Ability to prioritise work and delegate tasks with follow up
· Understand and implement advances in IT and technology to streamline administrative and clinical workflow
· Understand medical and health terminology
· Experienced in the management of complaints, and incorrect Medicare/Health fund claims
· Accredited training in business or medical practice management
