JOB VACANCY – PRACTICE MANAGER

 

 

 

St James Family Medical & St James Specialist is a newly established privately owned GP/ Specialist clinic based SOR in Hamilton Hill. Our clinical providers include two paediatricians, two GPs and one midwife who are supported by a friendly team of administration and nursing staff. A new opportunity exists for an experienced Practice Manager to join the team.

The clinic recently achieved GP practice accreditation through AGPAL, and has been well established by the inaugural practice manager under the support and guidance of the directors. If you possess the following qualities, then this could be the perfect position for you.

 

Desirable Attributes

· Available 30-35 hours per week, with flexible hours on offer

· Prior experience working as a practice manager in a specialist clinic

· Knowledge of GP/ specialist MBS items and GP/ specialist billing procedures

· Experience using Best Practice software

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage and motivate staff in a positive, kind manner while encouraging their professional abilities and aspirations

· Capacity to work efficiently and effectively, and to learn new processes/ skills quickly

· Capable of working to competing priorities and multi-tasking with the ability to delegate to others

· A professional standard of personal presentation

· Training in CPR within the past three years or a willingness to complete a CPR course

· A current criminal record check

· Work rights in Australia

 

Key responsibilities

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility

· Rostering of staff and scheduling practitioner clinics

· Processing staff timesheets and reporting provider billings in partnership with third party payroll/ HR provider

· Troubleshooting all aspects of the clinic including IT systems, procedures, staffing, business continuity etc

· Complaints handling and resolution

· Maintaining accreditation against the RACGP 5th Edition guidelines

· Responsible for workplace health and safety, quality improvement and managing risks within the clinic

· Develop and maintain a suite of policies, procedures and forms

· HR functions including performance reviews, recruitment, induction, training and staff development
