Our Organisation

Family Doctor operates 40 Medical Centres and 2 Dental Clinics in VIC, NSW, QLD and ACT, with further plans to grow. The Support Office is located in Hawthorn East, a short distance from cafes, restaurants and shopping facilities. In the office you will find a hardworking team, with our Finance, IT support and Operations team all onsite. We work together to bring innovative solutions to our network of clinics. We have a flat management structure and authentic leadership where all of the team have input in how we can make things better. 


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Group Operations Manager to join our team. This position has oversight of our Operations across all of our Medical and Dental Clinics nationally.

The role manages an Operations Manager, Operations Support Manager, Business Development Manager and Nurse Facilitator to ensure our Practices deliver high performing primary care whilst utilising our network of clinics to enhance operational performance. You will be working alongside the Financial Controller, IT Manager, HR Officer and Digital Marketing Coordinator, and will be working closely with the CEO who is hands-on in the business, is a qualified General Practitioner and is approachable.

The Group Operations Manager will have a well-developed emotional intelligence. You must successfully establish, maintain, and develop relationships across the organisation whilst supporting the CEO’s vision for sustained growth. This role also includes being able to facilitate internal growth and successfully integrate further clinic acquisitions. The successful candidate will need to have experience managing large and geographically spread teams to harness results.

  
Selection Criteria

Essential 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and leading staff in a large multi-site organisation.  
  • Proven ability to apply superior planning skills in coordinating and implementing long term strategic business plans and major projects coupled with the ability to effectively promote and manage change. 
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and analytical skills with highly developed problem-solving skills.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective high level working relationships across the organisation. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining day to day operational procedures, and in identifying and implementing process improvements. 
  • Ability to provide oversight and direction to support functions. 
  • Ability to identify and manage operational challenges at a practice level. 
  • Experience in managing tender processes. 
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.  

Desirable  

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or equivalent training, and proven record in senior management in the health industry.
