PRACTICE MANAGER 

Hello Health Family Practice

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Practice Manager to join our growing family practice. Are you looking for an amazing team to lead? Are you passionate about patient care? Do you enjoy supporting staff so they can perform to the best of their ability?

 Your role is vital to the ongoing success of the practice and you will be responsible for the management and daily operations of the practice and the employees.

About the role

  • Oversee and coordinate the practice and reception to ensure effective and efficient day to day operations.
  • Staff training, management, leadership and ongoing practice development.
  • Support the development of the staff by offering training opportunities.
  • Rostering of reception staff to meet practice needs.
  • Ensuring staff are working in their scope of practice and according to their job description.
  • Oversee reminder and recall systems.
  • Complete reporting, working to targets and ensure the practice operates profitably.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience is achieved through staff procedures.
  • Excellent communication with the practice principle.
  • Adhering to the current practice Policy and Procedure manual and updating as required.
  • Ongoing personal development in practice management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Running weekly and monthly meetings with management, clinical and reception staff.
  • Ensuring the practice always meets our high standard of patient care.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a management position or at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and billing rules.
  • Proven abilities in administration, medical reception and financial aspects of running a practice.
  • Experience using Best Practice Software, Pen CS and Cubico.
  • Experience using HotDoc or similar programme.
  • Proven experience in accreditation and the RACGP 5th Standards.
  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, computer literacy and written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to patient care and a harmonious staff environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.
