Purpose designed and built General Practice. This established General Practice is located in Altona.  The Practice has Fifteen doctors, nurses, allied health and many facilities located within the Practice.
 

The Role

The Practice Manager position is multifaceted.  It combines practice management elements which include overall responsibility for daily practice functions through the effective management of the medical administration team; practice finance; and governance & risk management along with a focus on business management strategies and activities that promote the ongoing growth and overall success of the practice in line with the Director’s vision.


 

About You

The Practice Manager position is a senior appointment and requires a Practice/Business Manager experienced in General Practice or the Health Industry. preferably you will hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Practice Management, HR or similar and have a skill set rich in people management and a proven track record in business promotion/development.  You will use sound judgement in decision making and display vision and excitement about how your activities and actions positively impact the success of the practice.

 

As the Practice Manager you will oversee all daily practice functions and manage administration/nursing and doctors to meet the needs of the Practice. The role and responsibilities will also include Operations/HR, Financial Management, Continuous Improvement and Clinical Governance & Risk, Practice Development & Promotion.

 

We require a person that has:

 

  • Strong ability to lead and manage medical staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong interest in the Health Industry
  • A highly organised personality type and a diligent & detailed approach to all matters
  • A stable & loyal work history demonstrating previous results
  • Strong Knowledge of Practice Management Software. Able to trouble shoot common IT issues before engaging external support
  • Zmed Software skills would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Understand practice finance including budgeting, reporting and business planning
  • Build a patient supportive team.
  • Demonstrate high standards, are professionally presented, deliver excellence in patient and staff service
  • Team player and excellent people skills
