RSV infant immunisation

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the leading cause of infant hospitalisation in Australia. In 2023, 993 infants were hospitalised with laboratory-confirmed RSV infection in WA; because RSV testing is not always performed, this figure is likely an undercount.

You’re encouraged to use this email banner in your email signature to raise awareness of the 2024 RSV Infant Immunisation Program, it can be linked here. You are also welcome to refer to the RSV immunisation campaign (health.wa.gov.au) online, this will continue to be updated with more promotional materials.
