The Taskforce has established Clinical Committees and Working Groups to undertake clinical reviews of MBS items. Accordingly, the Primary Care Reference Groups (PCRGs) have reviewed 106 MBS items within its remit and made 75 draft recommendations to the Taskforce, based on evidence and clinical expertise, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, which were endorsed for consultation by the Taskforce in late 2018. The Taskforce is now seeking feedback and comments from key stakeholders in the primary care sectors to review the report. You are invited to provide comments and feedback on the report based on your areas of expertise, knowledge and interests. The PCRGs will consider feedback from stakeholders then provide recommendations to the Taskforce in a final Report. The Taskforce considers the Reports from clinical committees and stakeholder feedback before making recommendations to the Minister for Health, for consideration by the Government. Please find attached a letter from Professor Bruce Robinson, Chair, MBS Reviews Taskforce seeking your feedback on the draft reports from Primary Care Reference Groups. The reports will be published on the Department of Health website from Tuesday 5 February 2019. A link to the reports can be found here. Responses can be sent to the Taskforce via email at MBSReviews@health.gov.au .
