Modern 4 Site General Practice requires the position of a Practice/Operations Manager.
Forster Tuncurry Medical Centre is a GP family-owned practice with over 38 years of registrar teaching experience.
We are a private billing, high standard, high achieving practice. We love our town and care about our community. We have a total of 21 GPs across 4 different sites.
We stay up to date with all the latest tech advances in the industry. We use Best Practice, Hot Docs on Line Booking System.

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
Strategic planning and management

Reporting and analysis
BUSINESS OPERATIONS
- Day-to-day management and administration of the multiple practice sites
- Responsible for daily administration of patient information systems and formal communication
- Monitor patient flow processes to ensure optimal business efficiency
- Staff analysis and review, rostering and administration
- Public relations and customer relationship management, including following up and responding to Google reviews and other forms of public patient feedback
- Manage staff and patient grievances and complaints as they arise
- Manage relationships and coordinate care and Rosters for the five Aged Care Facilities
- Monitor daily quality assurance programs, ensuring Doctors and Nurses Scheduling is running on time
- Key stakeholder management and relationship building
- Coordinate educational programs and ongoing induction of changing FTMC process for Doctors
- Monitoring Quality Practice Accreditation Software for license accreditation and re certification
CLINICAL OPERATIONS
- Liaise with the Nurse management team and wider Nursing team through regular meetings and ongoing planning
HUMAN RESOURCES
Recruitment and onboarding
- End to end management of recruitment process for all employees, including contracted Doctors, Registrars, Nurses, administration staff and trainees.
Registrars
- Maintain relationship and compliance within Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) guidelines
Employee engagement
Performance management and improvement
- Implementation of staff training program to ensure core skills are developed and transferred, allowing for autonomous workflows
Compensation and benefits
- Development and implementation of contracts and work place engagement letters for Doctors, Nursing and Administration staff
- Development of staff compensation and benefit program aligned with core business outcomes
- Negotiation and management of salary packages related to roles and responsibilities
Compliance
- Maintain compliance with Australian Government Fair Work Employment Law and awards
- Work Health and Safety compliance
STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategic plans for enhanced business outcomes
- Identification of new business opportunities to expand and evolve business operations
- Develop and maintain organisational governance processes and operations
- Review and update organisational governing by-laws, policies and procedures
- Manage compliance with key industry stakeholders and governing bodies

- Conduct IT needs analysis and organisational upgrades through IT provider
- Responsible for software information systems purchase and installation.
MARKETING AND PROMOTION
- Development and implementation of annual marketing plan
- Business website development and maintenance
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
- Maintain all FTMC leased facilities on behalf of the building owners
- Building maintenance and upkeep for properties rented by FTMC
LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Lead and manage a large and dynamic workforce, including full time staff, casuals, trainees, contractors and registrars
- Demonstrated leadership and effective change agent skills across all levels of the business
