23 June Healthcare providers use of technology surges in the face of COVID-19 June 23, 2020 By Announcement, Digital Health, My Health Record 0 New data released by the Australian Digital Health Agency shows another big lift in the use of the My Health Record system across pharmacies, GP’s and now public hospitals as Australian healthcare providers accelerate their use of technology during COVID-19. It appears that the focus on digital health including telehealth consultations during COVID-19 is helping fast track the adoption of technology and more providers are seeing the My Health Record as a valuable repository of health data as it is accessible to all healthcare providers without the need for fax machines or postal services. There are now 22.77 million My Health Records and more than 19.2 million or 85 per cent of them have data in them.
