22 June Dept of Health: Webinar on cardiac imaging changes 1 August 2020 June 22, 2020 By Announcement, Department of Health 0 The Department is hosting a webinar on Monday 29 June 2020 between 11:00am and 1:00pm (AEST) to communicate changes to cardiac imaging services. There will be approximately 30 new items created to replace the existing cardiac imaging items effective from 1 August 2020. These changes will not include any procedural items. The 1 August 2020 changes include items for echocardiogram (echo), electrocardiogram (ECG), ambulatory ECG and myocardial perfusion studies (MPS). This webinar will focus on the provision of information to clinicians, private health insurers, private hospitals, practice managers and system administrators. The cardiac services changes are complex and extensive and this webinar is to ensure that practice managers and system administrators have appropriate information to ensure they can make system updates to accommodate the changes to these items for 1 August 2020. Registration for the webinar is essential and will be available with further details on the Department’s website from Monday 22 June 2020 at Department of Health. The webinar will be live and recorded, with an opportunity for questions during and after the webinar, with the recording to be published on the Department of Health website following the event.
