STP is a reporting change that will require employers to report tax and super information to the ATO from their payroll software each time they pay their employees.

The ATO is urging employers to determine what they need to do to get ready. Employers need to find out how and when their software will be updated, get their business STP-ready or ask the ATO for more time if they need it.

A number of useful resources are available on the ATO website to help your members prepare, this includes an STP fact sheet, checklist, videos and guidelines for employers who are ready to report.
