This includes all vaccines funded under the National Immunisation Program, vaccines provided under State and Territory vaccination programs and most privately funded vaccines, including influenza and travel vaccines. New education guide for Medicare billing for immunisations Use this new guide as a quick reference to support you with Medicare billing for immunisations. Changes to Health Professional Online Services (HPOS) The Department of Human Services has released important information outlining changes to the Health Professionals Online Services (HPOS) in December to support the recommendations outlined in the Independent Review. Changes to Health Professional Online Services (HPOS) – September In response to the recommendation made by the ‘Independent Review of Health Providers' Access to Medicare Card Numbers’ the following changes will be made to HPOS in September. 1 July 2018 MBS Changes The Department of Human Health adds 1 July 2018 Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) changes to our health professional education resources.
