Engagement Highlights
PHN Community and Consumer Engagement teams have kept busy even over the holiday period ensuring up to date My Health Record information was being provided through all channels.   A number of community engagements have already taken place across the country at this very early stage of 2019 including information booths in New South Wales at Mudgee Medical Centre, Albion Park Library, Oak Flats Library and at the City Library and Museum.  Additionally, presentations were delivered in Coburg with the MS Support Group (NECCHI), in Blackheath at Blackheath Cybershed Train the Trainer, in Springwood at the Springwood Neighbourhood Centre Train the Trainer and in Western Australia at the Bod Daniel Community Resource Centre in Inglewood and Holyoake Victoria Park.

The PHN teams continue to deliver community events through to the end of the opt-out period.

The Agency is planning a series of consultation workshops in each state and territory commencing on 23rd January in Adelaide. The workshops will seek input from consumers as well as representatives from key community organisations and consumer peak bodies to guide development of tailored consumer education materials for My Health Record. For information and to register, visit the Events page of the website.

Provider Readiness
The Agency’s Education team currently have 108 education events scheduled for this year, including 15 webinars.

Two animations updated with the 31st January opt-out date are now available on our YouTube channel:
• 1 minute version
• 30 second version

Digital advertising and social media, radio, indigenous TV and outdoor advertising will continue until the end of January to remind people of their choice to have a My Health Record or to opt out before 31 January 2019. Messaging is now changing to communicate about the stronger privacy protections and the right to permanent delete your record at any time in your life.

We will shortly be releasing social media assets for use towards the end of opt-out. We will also shortly be releasing consumer friendly videos on the legislation changes to communicate the stronger My Health Record laws. There will also be a series of media releases going out over the new few weeks. Post opt-out communication materials are in production and will be released after 31 January.

We encourage you to keep sharing positive MHR content on your social channels, and can download materials from the microsite.
