Medibank Heart Health at Home

A unique remotely delivered cardiac rehabilitation program called Medibank Heart Health at Home is being piloted for members across Australia. The program is delivered remotely via personalised telephone consultations with a cardiac rehabilitation health professional (such as a cardiac nurse or physiotherapist) and enabled via an evidence-based mobile digital application developed by the CSIRO, called Cardihab.

If your practice has patients that you believe would be suitable for the Medibank Heart Health at Home program, please advise them of their options. You can refer the patient, or they can self-enrol into the program by calling the Medibank Heart Health at Home line on 1300 307 440 (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm AEST) or email

Giving small businesses a say on equal pay

The Victorian Government is calling on small to medium businesses (SMEs) to take part in new research into gender pay equity in the workplace.

Small businesses face their own set of unique issues when trying to address gender pay equity. The Government is interested in speaking to a range of different SMEs across a number of industries.

You do not need to know anything at all about gender pay equity to take part. Regardless of your level of knowledge, your input is valuable.

The views and experiences of a broad range of workers at SMEs is of interest, including:

  • owner-managers, senior managers, human resources managers, entry level employees, junior employees and mid-tier employees
  • people with disabilities, people from a variety of cultural backgrounds, people on temporary visas, LGBTIQ+ people, people from regional and rural locations, and people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission is carrying out this research and will host focus groups in Melbourne and across Victoria.

The focus groups and consultations will occur during March and April 2020. Incentive payments will be provided for participants.
