A great and new opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic practice manager at Family Health Clinic Malvern. The practice is a privately billing practice, supported by three receptionists and a practice nurse. We have one solo GP working, however, we are looking forward to building up the clinical team up to maximize our service. The role of the practice manager to support the GP principal in setting up the clinical and non-clinical teams, coordinate the workflow and set up achievable goals in timely manner so the business would thrive for continuity of our provision.

Family Health Clinic Malvern is a newly opened General Practice located in the heart of Malvern on 76 Glenferrie Rd.  Our vision is to provide an excellent medical experience in the primary care settings. Our mission is to ensure that our patients are receiving the right care that suits their needs. Therefore, Family Health Clinic Malvern is a healthcare for the entire family.

We are looking for an enthusiastic practice manager to start up this clinic. The right candidate for this position will need to assist and support the business, GP principal, nurse and the reception staff. The practice manager role also encompasses building the practice critical and essential fundament to reflect the vision and the mission of the practice. The manager would also support in setting up a friendly and well supported working environment for staff and doctors, and emphasis on building a workplace culture that is based on respect, transparency and commitments to our values.

Family Health Clinic Malvern is a well-designed modern fully computerized clinic. It is also newly equipped, supported by three reception staff and a registered nurse.

Characteristics of the right candidate:

  1. Enthusiastic about their work
  2. Methodological and systematic in their approach
  3. Has developed excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  4. Previous accreditation experience
  5. Knowledge of Best practice management reports, billing system.
  6. Able to share vision of the practice development and recruitment of clinical and non-clinical staff.

Expectation of this role:

  1. Presents and demonstrates effective and efficient method of practice workflow.
  2. Demonstrates communications skills with all staff
  3. Time flexibility
  4. Demonstrates passion and support for the business growth.
  5. Human resources experience in recruiting staff and non-clinical staff.
  6. Broad experience and knowledge about policies and procedures in general practice.
  7. Broad experience and knowledge of Business risk management and mitigation

 

Support

The GP principal will assist the practice manager in the decision making process for major issues. However, the practice manager would be granted full autonomy in daily management activities. A bookkeeper will manage payments, invoices, payroll tax etc. The clinic has an agreement with an “IT company” which will solve any issues related to telephone, computer, internet and printers issues.

 

 Payment

The remuneration is negotiable and depends on the years of experience and knowledge of the candidate.
