The Position

We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and flexible Practice Manager to join our exciting new Orthopaedic Surgery practice situated within St John of God Mt Lawley.

You will initially be working for one young, dynamic Orthopaedic Surgeon with another Orthopaedic Surgeon starting in August 2022.

We are looking for someone who not only has the aptitude to help us establish the practice, but someone who will share in our enthusiasm, drive and vision to grow an amazing, patient focused surgical practice.

This role will initially be offered on a flexible part time basis with scope to increase hours as the practice grows in 2022.

As we get setup in February the hours required will be 10-20 hours a week which will increase to 28-38 hours a week in to March and beyond.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A broad working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrates a high standard of oral, written and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of medical accounting practices, including the complexities of Medicare and health fund reimbursements.
  • Efficiently managing all practice billing processes, including Eclipse, HIC online, EFTPOS and debt control
  • Advanced working knowledge of Clinic to Cloud Practice Software and Microsoft Office (formal training will be provided).
  • Empathy and the ability to build rapport that enables difficult situations to be resolved satisfactorily. 
  • The ability to work without supervision, prioritising and managing competing and variable work demands effectively.
  • Flexible work practices commensurate with the demands of the practice.
  • Provide ongoing planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects relating to the Practice, and implement improvements/changes where necessary
  • Management of staff including, recruitment, rosters, leave and training
  • End of month reporting and consulting with the practice bookkeeper
