About the practice

We are a bustling, doctor-owned, mixed-billing, general practice in Ipswich. Our practice has been providing service and exceptional medical care to the Ipswich community and surrounds for over 100 years. We pride ourselves in  innovation and evidence-based medicine. We have fourteen doctors contracted to the practice, who cover a range of sub-specialties. This year, our practice underwent an extension and introduced a pathology service to our practice residence. We also updated our practice accreditation and received recognition for excellence in running Covid-19 vaccination clinics. We value integrity, professionalism and team-work in our practice.

 

About the role

We are looking for a full-time, practice manager to replace our current manager of 10+ years, who is moving towards North Queensland in early 2022. We want someone who shares our values, leads by example and will work towards building a team culture. The successful candidate will be able to provide examples showing proficiency in the following areas;

Duties

The practice manager’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following;

◦              Oversee day-to-day management of reception and nursing staff

◦              Maintain relationships with contracting doctors and registrars

◦              Monitor online bookings, emails and social media

◦              Supervise rostering and pays

◦              Attend to purchases

◦              Work with accounts manager to coordinate payroll and other practice finances

◦              Maintain and facilitate relationships with third parties, such as hospital specialists

◦              Supervise staff recruitment and retainment

◦              Monthly reports for partners meeting

 

Skills and experience

The successful candidate must have

◦              Practice management qualifications

◦              Practice management experience

◦              Two previous employers as referees

◦              Familiarity with general practice IT software and billing

◦              COVID-19 vaccination certificate

 

Benefits

◦              Salary $80 000- $100 000 (depending on level of experience)

◦              Located approximately half-hour west of Brisbane, so travelling against traffic if travelling from Brisbane
