About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to amplify the efficiency of a fast-paced surgical practice through a variety of general management functions. On the business side these include strategic planning, billing & Medicare claims, records maintenance, managing relationships with medical partners, budgeting and equipment upkeep. On the People side, day to management of the staff and Eye Surgeons will cover everything from rostering, HR and front desk operations.
You truly enjoy making a difference through your craft of people and business skills. You’ve managed a surgical practice for at least 5 years, in ophthalmology, plastic surgery, ENT or similar and thrive in a role with variety which requires constant context swapping. One moment you may be providing a trusted advisory service to the Founder and the next you are completely OK with rolling up your sleeves to cover a reception shift. The staff see you as a leader who loves structure but is calm, flexible, warm and collaborative. The patients see you as someone who cares and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You have intelligent time management habits, great interpersonal, numerical and written skills and are resilient under pressure.
