Practice Manager - Cardiology Practice

Peninsula cardiology is looking for an experienced business manager for our practice. We have been based on the Northern Beaches and Wahroonga for 35 years and have 4 partners and 8 associate cardiologists. We are seeking a business manager to support our clinical and administrative team, to be responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of practice operations. We are driven by the highest standards of clinical care and professionalism and this is at the core of everything we do. You need to have exceptional communication and leadership skills and be able to manage a large team. This is a hands-on role. We are looking for a driven, dynamic personality with significant management experience. The successful applicant needs strong financial acumen, good communication skills, and a high level of professionalism and leadership.

Responsibilities of the role include comprehensive management of the practice.

Operational duties

  • IT savvy, with knowledge of medical billing software and knowledge of the Medicare system.
  • Compliance with regulation, Medicare legislation and medical guidelines, including Covid 19 protocols
  • Full administrative support of the business.
  • Overseeing patient billing and processes
  • Flexibility to fill in and perform front desk and patient related tasks, in several different practice locations.
  • Ability to deal with challenging patients
  • Organising education for general practitioners and staff within the practice
  • Overseeing ultrasound machine leases, practice loans and other financial business arrangements, and keeping accurate financial records.
  • developing practice policies and procedures
  • organising accreditation and ensuring compliance

Financial responsibilities

  • budgeting, cash flow planning and analysis, accounting and financial control systems, payroll, superannuation, prepare financial statements, third party contracts, ATO portal management.
  • Generating invoices payable and organising goods and services for the practice
  • Asset registers and inventory of goods and equipment.
  • Financial and medical IT experience including MYOB, MyGov / PRODA, ATO portal, Blue chip, and Medical Director desirable

Personnel

  • People management including advertising, recruitment, performance appraisal, rostering, liaising with associate staff and contactors, and organising locum cover

 

Course certification with the Diploma of Practice Management (level III/IV) an advantage.

Immediate start

Payment package will be negotiated depending on skill and experience.
