A position exists for a full time Practice Manager to join our busy family practice in Rose Bay.

The Albemarle Medical Practice is a fully accredited and well-respected General Practice. We are a private family practice that boasts excellent modern facilities, experienced nursing support, onsite pathology, and a friendly team environment.

We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee all daily operations and utilize their leadership skills to guide our thriving practice. The day-to-day management of the practice will encompass:

  • Overseeing administration work, appointment book management and ensuring the smooth running of the reception team.
  • Liaising with medical, nursing and administration staff to achieve the best possible experience for our patients.
  • Financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Accreditation preparation and adherence to AGPAL standards. 
  • Ensuring the delivery and compliance with current healthcare regulation including COVD-19 management. 

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer service, sound financial knowledge and possess a proven ability to work autonomously.

Essential criteria:

  • Previous practice management experience.
  • A detailed understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and WorkCover billing, accounts, and processes for private billing.
  • Proficiency in Best Practice or Medical Director and MYOB Software is essential.
  • Experience and knowledge of general practice accreditation.
  • Experience in financial management, accounting systems and reporting processes.
  • Experience in payroll systems and legislated employment conditions.
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate administrative and clinical meetings.
  • Define and drive the complaints resolution process for patient and client complaints and queries.
