This busy long-established multi-disciplinary GP owned practice has an enviable reputation of providing quality health. Located in a charming location east of the city, the practice has been recently refurbished and is home to well-regarded GP’s and a range of allied health and visiting specialists.
The high calibre of the practice has been recognised in the past as being a Practice of the Year. In their recent accreditation they had received outstanding feedback. This feedback was testimony to their quality administration and nursing staff, along with the effective use of newly implemented and leading practice management software.
All staff at the clinic are quick to comment on how they enjoy working with other professional colleagues, and how much they enjoy the GP’s and patients they support. They are now looking to bring on a leader to support the overall practice.
The clinic is now looking to appoint a highly capable Practice Manager/Business Manager that will provide leadership and collaboratively partner with the Practice Principal to achieve continuous improvements that will maintain the quality of healthcare that is the cornerstone of their foundation.
This leadership position will provide an experienced Practice Manager/Business Manager with variety, challenge, and an opportunity to have your contributions fully recognised across human resources, operations, and overall business activities.
Supported by a small but dedicated team, the scope of responsibilities in this role includes but is not limited to the following.
- Providing leadership to the team and fulfilling human resource management duties.
- Consultatively working with the practice principal, assisting with strategic direction, and creating outcomes with operational matters that improves the practice.
- Assuring GP’s, allied health and visiting specialists are supported within practice guidelines.
- Actively contributing to a wide range of business activities that will allow the practice to meet and exceed performance outcomes such as marketing, enhancement of software etc.
- Providing assistance and support to the administration and nursing staff regarding a diverse range of queries that may best support doctors and patients.
- Providing support to the practice accountant with financial matters.
To be considered for this opportunity it is expected you have acquired solid practice management experience gained within a general practice. Your experience could have been gained in a GP owned practice, or a corporate or super practice whereby you may be seeking to contribute to a quality GP owned clinic.
Proven management skills are a necessary pre-requisite for this role including a solid track record in leading teams. Prior financial administration/bookkeeping skills would be well regarded as would degree qualifications.
It is important you possess a consultative style allowing you to bring others along albeit within a reasonable timeframe.
Additionally, it is assumed you will have a strong patient services approach, the ability to multi-task, an eye for detail, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
