Practice Manager - Specialist Medical Practice

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Practice Manager who is passionate about using their skills to lead the team in this next phase of expansion.

Our main office is located in North Sydney, minutes to buses, trains, and the new light rail.  

The role could be full-time, with flexible hours, or could be reduced to 0.8 FTE, and could be worked over 4 or 5 days. Remuneration above industry average and dependent on level of experience. 

Reporting directly to the Practice Principal, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and managing a team of doctors, administration and allied health staff.
  • Management of and reviewing operations and staff training in a collaborative environment.
  • Nurturing and developing strong relationships with other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring high standard delivery of our processes and procedures, to accommodate the growth of the practice.
  • Providing ongoing planning, co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects relating to the practice.

 

Essential criteria:

  • Previous management experience, including leadership and team building.
  • Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Practice management or HR/Business Management studies highly regarded.
  • Sound knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule including DVA, workers compensation billings and private billings highly regarded.
  • Creative and resourceful problem solving, who strives for excellence in everything you do
  • High level of communication skills
  • Previous payroll experience highly regarded
  • Bookkeeping experience and business development skills will be highly regarded
  • Experience with Medical Software is required, preferably Audit4 and Medilink
  • Experience with social media platforms a plus
