The current practice manager is retiring early in 2021, so we are looking for a new manager now to enable a smooth transition. This professional services management role requires capability in planning, leading, organising and controlling the practice and the business. The practice provides a comprehensive service to patients – Reconstructive surgery, Cosmetic surgery and Non-surgical solutions. Interviews will be at the practice on Thursday 10 December.

Our clinicians provide cosmetic surgery, non-surgical solutions and reconstructive surgery. They are supported by nursing and administration teams to ensure a positive experience for every patient.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • PLANNING - Contribute to strategic planning, develop business and operational plans and report against plans at management meetings
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT - Monitor and report financial performance, authorise payments within budget, manage debts, manage financial communications with hospitals
  • HUMAN RESOURCES - Recruitment; Induction and training; performance management; develop effective communication with staff; develop & implement HR policies; have a positive influence organisational culture; reward staff within agree parameters
  • RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - Facilitate maintenance, calibration and replacement of equipment; Facilitate office & clinical stock management; Develop and maintain equipment registers; Manage consulting room usage; Facilitate an effective security system; Work with IT advisor for effective ICT
  • MARKETING - Ensure comprehensive service delivery to both Cosmetic and Reconstructive patients; Facilitate the business presentation within the corporate statements; Develop & implement the marketing strategies; Facilitate management of the clinic web site.
  • QUALITY - Facilitate CQI and governance approaches for the practice and the business; Facilitate the development of implementation of practice and management procedure manuals
  • LEGAL - Ensure business's compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and other standards; develop and implement WH&S policies and procedures; Maintain the compliance calendar.
  • RISK - Develop and implement the Risk Management Plan and the Business Continuity Plan; Facilitate annual insurance reviews.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in medical practice management (especially plastic surgery)
  • Proven performance in management of medium sized businesses
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Ability to be solution-focused and able to lead through change
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning, organising and controlling business activities
  • Experience in current marketing techniques (eg social media)
  • Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of quality systems management
  • Expertise in use of Microsoft office suite, Genie practice management software
  • Business management qualifications
